Kaga Onsen Travel Guide

Kaga Onsen Hot Springs is an area located in the southwestern part of Ishikawa prefecture.  It includes the cities of Kaga, Komatsu, and Nomi, and the county of Nomi.

There are three hot springs resorts in the area, Yamanaka Onsen, Yamashiro Onsen and Katayamazu Onsen, and you can enjoy various hot springs. Also, since the area is also the production center of Kutaniyaki pottery, we also recommend  Kutaniyaki Kiln Exhibition Pavilion for people who are interested in pottery.

It is convenient to have a car for getting around this area.  From Kaga Onsen Station, you can take buses to each onsen resort so please make your plans accordingly.  From major cities, you can take the bullet train or express bus to Kaga Onsen Station.  From Tokyo Station, it takes about 3 hours by bullet and conventional train.
