What is Noritake Garden
Noritake Garden is a facility built by the world famous Noritake Company Limited, makers of Noritake ceramics, commemorating their 100th anniversary. The red brick factories on site have been preserved and visitors can enjoy the atmosphere of the birthplace of modern pottery. The vast property (48,000 square meters) near Nagoya Station is divided into 3 zones. The "Culture Zone" introduces the culture of ceramics, the "Commercial Zone" is about enjoying life, and the "Historical Zone" shows the history of ceramics. At this beautiful property, which is surrounded by greenery, visitors can find the "Old Noritake" museum and gallery displaying pre-war pottery and porcelain, a craft center where skilled craftsmen show visitors the manufacturing process and Noritake tradition through such skills as painting. There is also experience painting hands-on. There is also a Noritake ceramics outlet, as well as a restaurant using Noritake tableware. Visitors can enjoy many different things on this beaten path.
