Akashi Kaikyo Bridge is a suspension bridge connecting Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture and Awaji City. It's nickname is "Pearl Bridge." With a total length of 3,911 meters, It was certified in the Guinness book of World Records as the longest suspension bridge in the world. It is lit up at night and can is great to view at night. Lighting-up of the bridge is from sunset to 23 o'clock on weekdays, and from Sunset to 24 o'clock on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays. At the foot of the bridge is a science museum where you can learn the design and technology that goes into the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge.

Togetsukyo Bridge is a bridge overlooking the Katsuragawa of Arashiyama, a popular tourist spot in Kyoto. You can see autumn leaves and bamboo groves. It name originates from the name of a royal family in the Kamakura period, On clear nights, the moon appears to cross the bridge in the sky. You can enjoy different scenery for this bridge in each season such as cherry blossoms, lush green leaves, autumn leaves, snow etc.
【Matsue】 Esashima Ohashi
Esashi Ohashi is also known as the "Betafumi hashi". Betafumi means to stomp down on gas pedal of a car. This bridge is characterized by it's steep ascending slope that appears to continue up into the sky. It is possible to climb it by foot rather than by car, and you can not enjoy the view from the top unless you climb on foot. Viewing at night is also recommended.
【Kurashiki】 Seto Ohashi Bridge
Seto Ohashi Bridge passes through the middle of the sea where the elegant islands of the Seto Inland Sea float. The Seto Ohashi bridge is a collective name for the six bridges connecting Okayama and Kagawa prefectures and four viaducts. On Saturdays and holidays, the bridge is light up from the sunset and you can see the elegant and romantic bridge landscape.
A suspension bridge connecting Shimonoseki of Yamaguchi prefecture and Moji of Fukuoka prefecture. It is one of the huge bridges of the East, which is lit up at night and its beautiful figure appears to float on the sea. There is also a tunnel called the Kanmon tunnel that runs underneath the sea floor and has two structures, the upper part is a roadway, the lower part is a walkway. A pedestrian can walk across the strait in about 15 minutes for free. In the central part of the walkway, there are signs indicating the prefecture boundary of Yamaguchi prefecture and Fukuoka prefecture. This is popular as a commemorative photographing spot.
【Iwakuni】 Silver Belt Bridge
One of Japan's three famous bridges. This flexible bridge draws 5 beautiful arcs. It is recommended to visit in the cherry blossom season and on April 29, when the "Kintai-kyo Bridge Festival" is held. The Nishikigawa water celebration fireworks festival, where about 6000 fireworks are set off. is held in August and also a great sightseeing event. The bridge is open 24 hours a day, and at night, (when no one is at the toll-gate) the fee is (300 yen for adults, 150 yen for children). Check it out at night when it's lit up as well.
