The Hankyu Umeda main office, highly recommended for women

The Hankyu Umeda Department Store is a store located in Kita-ku, Osaka. It is a highly prominent store for Kansai and boasts the highest product appeal in the Kansai region for cosmetics and beauty products. It is popular with women of all ages as a location where women’s fashion trends begin. It is constructed right next to the southern part of the Hankyu Railway’s Umeda Station and is also near the HEP NAVIO and Hankyu Men’s Osaka buildings. The sales floor has been designed with a "living theater" concept, and 20% of the 80,000m2 sales floor serves as information and service areas which gives cultural value to the "living theater" department store. Among many women it’s accepted as more than just a place to shop or go to a department store, but as a place to just go out and have a good time.

Floor information

The building has 2 underground floors and 13 aboveground floors. The B2F floor focuses on food products. Especially popular here are sweets such as "Echire"  which is ice cream that uses butter in place of cream or milk, chocolate at "La Maison Du Chocolate", Bel Amer, raw tea jelly at the Nakamura Tokichi Honten, muskmelon rice cakes at the Isshin-do, and Japanese sweets at the Takayama-do. On B1F there are more food locations as well as a pharmacy.

1F-6F deal primarily in women’s clothing. A number of women’s brands can be found here, such as Ume-han Sisters on 3F, Ume-han Jen’nu on 4F, Premium Closet on the 6F which caters to married women, and Plus which deals exclusively in plus sizes.

On 7F you will find furniture, interior decoration items, timepieces, glasses, gift certificates, and Buddhist furnishings. On 8F there is sports fashion at "Ings" and a corner for menswear.

On 9F are the Festival Square, Hankyu Umeda Hall, and Hankyu Umeda Gallery spaces. 10F contains many women’s products for the elderly, 11F has baby and children’s wear as well as kimonos and engagement gifts.

On 12F and 13F there is a restaurant area "Festival Dining". In this area you will find  a very wide variety of eateries such as the "Grill Capital Toyo-tei" which is a western-style shop that boasts over 100 years of history, the "Haruyamashita Umeda Osaka" which has a lot of fans in Tokyo, Wakayama Prefecture’s popular sushi shop "Edomae Sushi-Go-Round Kishu Yaichi", soba noodles at the "Tenkappo Soba Kanda", the "Fukiage-ya" which is famous for parent-child donburi, Edo-style eel cuisine at "Unaman", udon at the "Udon no Uta" and tofu dishes at "Tofu-Nihon Ryori Tachibana."
