Marunouchi Building is an office complex located in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo. It is 179.2m tall, 37 floors above ground and 4 basement levels. It used to be called "No.1 building in the Orient" in the prewar Showa period (1930s). While the main function of the complex is office use, the lower levels are open to the public as a shopping mall. This multi-function concept was adopted in the development of this complex as a pioneering project in Japan.
Shops and restaurants
The shopping mall houses many shops, such as fashion, interior, book/stationary and variety goods. Also tenants provide services specialized in beauty and relaxation targeting female clientele, including aesthetic/massage technique, hairdressing, nail care, etc. Just in case, please remember there are pharmacies as well.
Restaurants are all first-class in the world, satisfying Japanese, Italian, French, European, ethnic, Chinese and other gourmets. There are also many good places of your choice, cafes, bars and dinings, to have a break while shopping, or to have alcohol in the evening. Or if you are in a hurry, there are fast food shops, as well. Wireless LAN services are available in the Marunouchi Building. It is important to note that you must subscribe for service usage to the respective service provider before using the wireless LAN services in Wireless LAN access locations.
By public transportation, JR Tokyo station is the closest. It is a 1 minute walk from the station. By car, exit at Marunouchi Interchange on the Metropolitan Expressway Inner Circular Route. You are recommended to use a pay parking Marunouchi PARK-IN in the neighborhood of the complex.
