The Ueno Royal Museum

The Ueno Royal Museum is a museum that opened in 1972 in Ueno Park. There are no permanent exhibitions, but exhibitions of various genres of art have been carried out in the past. In 2006 the building was added on to and the Ueno Mori Art School was established on the third floor. If you become a member you can take courses such as painting.

It is recommended to check the home page before visiting since the days the museum is closed and the admission fees differ from time to time depending on the exhibition.

The nearest station is JR Ueno Station and the museum is about 3-minutes walking distance from the park entrance.
