The Tokyo Gallery

The Tokyo Gallery is an art gallery that opened in 1950, in Ginza. The gallery has since acquired a tradition of promoting not only contemporary Japanese artists but also artists from the West and other regions of Asia. The Tokyo Gallery has an illustrious history of presenting solo exhibitions. In 2002, it opened a new gallery called BTAP (Beijing Tokyo Art Projects) in Beijing. The mission of these two base galleries is to promote contemporary Asian artists from Japan, China and South Korea.

Gallery Opening Hours

The gallery is open Tuesday – Friday, 11.00 – 19.00 and Saturday, 11.00-17.00. It is closed Sundays and Public Holidays

Access

The closest stations are either a) Shinbashi Station, via the JR or Tokyo Metro Ginza Line or b) Higashi-Ginza Station via the Toei Asakusa Line or the Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line. The destination is approximately a five minute walk from each station.
