Roppongi Hills is a complex in Tokyo's Roppongi area, opened in 2003. It's an office building that holds housing, hotels, television and radio stations, cinemas, cultural facilities and commercial facilities.
There are many cultural facilities located here. There is the Mori Art Museum that showcases art, fashion, and architecture and has various exhibitions throughout the year. The museum is open until 22:00 so you can visit the museum even late at night. The Mori Art Museum has a wide variety of exhibits in its 1000m2 gallery space. Additionally there is also the Academy Hills where knowledge from around the world is gathered, offering opportunities for education and intellectual activity. The observatory in the Mori Tower offers a 360 degree view of Tokyo from 250m high in a glass-walled area. The Tokyo City View is open until 23:00 so you can enjoy the view of the big city at night. There is also the open-air entertainment area Roppongi Hill Arena which usually holds various types of events, so you can see something new. There's a large number of shopping areas with plenty of fashion shops and accessories. Plenty of restaurants as well, Japanese, Chinese, Italian, French, and various western cuisine are available. You can really spend all day in Roppongi Hills, it has everything from culture to shopping to food. Tourists often have issues with lots of baggage from shopping so there are lockers provided to place things. There are also rental wheelchairs and strollers. As a service to parents, there are nurseries and nursing rooms for children.
Using public transportation, Roppongi Station (六本木駅) is the nearest. The Tokyo Metro Hibiya's Roppongi Station is especially easy because it is directly connected to the concourse. Shibuya IC (渋谷IC) is the nearest Metropolitan Expressway interchange if you're coming by car, and you can get there in about 10 minutes. There is a parking fee.
