This is a museum where visitors can learn about the creative thinking of Momofuku Ando, the founder of Nissin Food Products, who invented the famous Cup Noodles and Chicken Ramen. It also provides a rich educational experience about Cup Noodles and Chicken Ramen.
Facilities in the museum
The first exhibition visitors will find when they walk up from the entrance on the first floor to the second floor is the "Instant Noodles History Cube". It shows visitors the history of the packages of instant noodles from the oldest Chicken Ramen in 1958, to the ones they are using today.
On the second floor they have an exhibition about Momofuku Ando’s life, have replicated his research room, and also show CG animations. In the "Creative Thinking Boxes", visitors can learn about the creative ideas Momofuku Ando had.
On the third floor, they have the popular "My Cup Noodles Factory," where visitors can create their own original Cup Noodles. In a cup visitors design, they choose their favorite soup from among four varieties and ingredients from among twelve. It costs 300 yen for one serving. Although visitors do not have to book in advance, we recommend visiting there early on weekends because visitors need a numbered ticket that are given in the order of their arrival. Visitors can purchase an admission ticket with which they can join this activity if they reserve in advance as well. At the "Chicken Ramen Factory" on the third floor, they provide visitors with the experience to make Chicken Ramen by hand. The process starts with kneading, spreading and steaming the wheat flour, and then seasoning and drying it with the hot oil drying method. It costs 300 yen for elementary school students and 500 yen for junior high school students and older. Children younger than elementary school students cannot join. Visitors have to make a reservation in advance on the website (only in Japanese) or by phone. Since this activity is offered for pairs, visitors cannot apply alone.
At the "Cup Noodles Park" on the fourth floor, visitors can experience the Cup Noodles manufacturing process along with other attractions. This attraction is only for children under elementary school age. "NOODLES BAZAAR -World Noodles Road-" is a restaurant next to the museum and they offer many kinds of noodles from around the world.
Train: It is eight minutes on foot from Minatomirai Station or Bashamichi Station on the Minatomirai Line. Visitors can also walk for 12 minutes from Sakuragicho Station on the JR Line / Municipal Subway Line.
