Omura Travel Guide

Omura is an area located in the southeastern part of Nagasaki prefecture.  It includes the cities of Omura and Isahaya and it is the base of the peninsula leading to the cities of Unzen and Nagasaki

This is a nature rich area and we recommend Kushima Castle Ruins and Isahaya Park, where you can enjoy the flowers and plants in all four seasons.   There is also historical architecture like the Old En'yu-ji Garden, where the style of the Edo period (1603-1868) remains, and The Old Residence of Masataka Kusumoto, built in the Meiji period (1868-1912).

You can get around this area by car or train.  Use the Omura line or the Nagasaki line when going by train.  Omura Station is near Nagasaki Airport so it is also accessible by plane.  It takes about 2 hours to get from Haneda Airport in Tokyo to Nagasaki Airport and about 15 minutes by bus to get from Nagasaki Airport to Omura Station on the Omura line.
