Honoring the mysterious 5 colors of Goshikinuma.
The Goshiki-numa Nature Trail is a course that goes through the swamps on the back side of Mt. Bandai. The distance runs about 3.6km from the Goshiki-numa Entrance to the Bandai Plateau Station, and it is a popular course for beginners because the height difference is very slight and the walking time is 70 minutes. Goshiki-numa consists of several swamps, among which are Bishamon-numa, Tatsu-numa, Benten-numa, and Aonuma. These are the most famous among several other swamps, and they each have distinct colors such as emerald green, cobalt blue, and red. The colors of the water changes depending on what time you visit, the viewing angle, and the weather, and so it’s a different view each time you visit.
