About Mitaki-san Fudo-in Temple

Mitaki-san Fudo-in Temple is a Buddhist temple located in the "Crossroad Shotengai" shopping district of Sendai City in Miyagi Prefecture. The principal object of worship here is Dainichi Daisho Fudomyo-o, and the god of luck Sendai Shiro is also worshipped here. There are shops near the temple that sell talismans, Buddhist altar equipment, Japanese tea, sweets and other items. Every year on 7/27 and 7/28 there is a summer festival held in the streets of the shopping district that is always packed with people who come to see the shopping carts that are set up for the festival.

Access

To get to the temple by public railway, go to JR Sendai Station and from there it is about a 10 minute walk away if you walk on the Clis Road Arcade street headed toward Ichibancho. If you are visiting by car, take the Tohoku Expressway to Miyagi IC and it is a 15 minute drive from there. There is no parking for personal cars here so when you visit you need to make appropriate preparations.
