About the Akita Nairiku Jukan Railway
The railway cars are lightweight AN-8800 and AN-8900 diesel locomotive cars, and for events and organizational reservations they use AN2000 cars. Out of the AN-8800 cars, car 8808 has been turned into a parlor with a kotatsu built into the floor and tatami flooring.
Prices vary depending on boarding and destination station but the general fare is 170 yen for 1 person, with a maximum price of 1670 yen (as of 4/2015).
